The Mohonasen Foundation for Excellence is a not-for-profit corporation funded by contributions from staff, benefactors, community members and local businesses who wish to support its goal of promoting excellence in the Mohonasen Schools. Contributions support programs and activities that directly improve quality education through grants and promote community-school partnerships with alumni and residents. All contributions are tax deductible. The Foundation does not levy an administration fee, so contributions return in full to support Mohonasen’s students. UPDATE: Thanks to state employees who designated the Mohonasen Foundation as recipient of all or part of their SEFA contributions. As a result of your generosity, Mohonasen students benefit from new educational opportunities. Recent programs supported by the Mohonasen Foundation include astronomy equipment for the Draper observatory, books to help students become better readers, a sculpture to commemorate Sept. 11, and breadboard trainers for the high school technology program. Many district residents who are state employees met Mohonasen Foundation representatives at October's SEFA Fair in the North Concourse at the Empire State Plaza. The Foundation is participating in this year's SEFA drive.
