Foundation Donates $20,000 to District!
The Mohonasen Foundation for Excellence has donated $20,000 to the Rotterdam-Mohonasen Central School District to help support students and staff during the COVID-19 pandemic. The funds received by the district will allow teachers and district officials to purchase items to improve virtual and on-site learning, including computer monitors, cameras, speakers, and personal protective equipment (PPE). These items will support teaching and learning during this difficult time as well as be useful moving forward for years to come.
"The Mohonasen Foundation for Excellence believes in the strength and resiliency of the Mohonasen school community," said Paula Marshman, foundation president. "Knowing that we are in an extraordinary time, the Board of Directors is providing this grant to make an impactful difference to positively benefit the students in our school district." "We are extremely grateful for the foundation’s continued support of our students and faculty," said Laurel Logan-King, assistant superintendent for curriculum & instruction. "Since 1998, the foundation has awarded more than $200,000 to the district through grant applications, which help us support innovative programs and address many needs - all of which improve the learning experience of our students."
